BCEP Launches BleedShield™ — Critical Bleeding Control Certification

New program equips workplaces, schools, and community organizations with life-saving hemorrhage control skills.

The Board of Certified Emergency Providers (BCEP) has officially launched BleedShield™, a dedicated Critical Bleeding Control certification program designed to train individuals and organizations in the recognition and management of life-threatening external hemorrhage.

BleedShield™ covers tourniquet application, wound packing, pressure dressings, and the decision-making framework for responding to traumatic bleeding emergencies — skills that are increasingly recognized as essential in workplace, school, and community settings.
